If you can't find something to do this weekend...it's not our fault. Getcha grit on, getcha getcha grit on.

Friday, July 17

The 10th Annual Palette & Palate Stroll — A feast for the eyes and the stomach, this stroll pairs eight of Charleston's prominent art galleries with local restaurants (think Zero George, Halls Chophouse, 82 Queen, and more) to raise money for local art programs.

Trainwreck — Finally out in theaters! What's better than Amy Schumer and Bill Hader? Popcorn with butter, duh.

The Savannah Sweet Tease Burlesque Review — This traveling burlesque show is making its way to The Sparrow for a night of no rules and optional clothing (for the performers at least; keep your pants on).

The James Brown Dance Party at The Pour House — Catch "The Funkiest All Star Tribute in Show Business." The line-up of musicians paying tribute to the late, great Brown include Elise Testone of American Idol fame, Grant Green Jr., Anthony Wellington of Victor Wooten Band, the Chase Brothers of The James Brown Dance Party and Strange Design, Charlton Singleton, Mike Quinn, and more.

HEART Fashion Show — The Holistic Education and Art Recreation Therapy (HEART), a creative day program for adults with special needs, hosts a fashion show sponsored by Goodwill at St. Barnabas Lutheran Church. Ten to twelve adults in the HEART program will participate in the fashion show styled and produced by local fashionistas, salons, and photographers. All clothing is donated by Goodwill. D’Allesandro’s will provide the beverages and 'za.

Slightly Stoopid — A stop on their "Everything is Awesome" summer tour, the show promises to be a reggae-riffic night of all your favorite stoner jams, from "Collie Man" to "Wiseman" to "Bandelero"—everything you need to put you in a "Mellow Mood." Dirty Heads and The Expendables round out the lineup.

Charleston Battery v. Wilmington Hammerheads — Calling all sports fans! We dare you not to have Wiz Khalifa's "Black and Yellow" in your head for the following week.

Bradford Lee Folk and Bluegrass Playboys — This Nashville-based group plays a "rough-edged blend" of traditional bluegrass mixed with "true country grit" at Fiery Ron’s Home Team BBQ on Sullivan's.
