You might be a nerd if you watched Apple’s iPhone unveiling yesterday. (Or if you tried to watch it, since there were serious technical difficulties with the livestream.)

Here’s a recap if you had something better to do or if you gave up after refreshing your page a few hundred times.

New Apple CEO Tim Cook announced the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus to a packed crowd at noon today in Cupertino, C.A.

Bigger and thinner than it’s predecessors, the iPhone 6 is 4.7 inches and the iPhone 6 Plus is 5.5 inches. They both have retina HD screens, making the phone's visual look even crisper. Both phones will start being sold on September 19 and are available in gold, silver, and space gray.

The iPhone 6 Plus does seem to have some features that the iPhone 6 doesn’t. According to this video by the verge, the giant phone can display some apps in split-screen mode.

Twitter reactions to the releases were even more interesting than the new phone specs. Here are a few of my favorite tweets:

Ouch! Still getting one though.

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus weren’t the only items unveiled during the live stream. Apple also spoke of their plans to release a smart watch early next year. Priced at $349, the iOS-friendly Apple Watch mighe be so much more than an accessory, but it costs so much more than you want it to.

You can expect to get simplified applications on the device, including Siri, Facebook notifications, and fitness monitors.

How did Twitter react to the news?
