Carolyn,

Hi. My name is Abigail and my husband and I have been married now for 2 weeks today! We have been together for 3 years. I am in the process of reading your book and I just love it! I think it's an amazing book and I love the 40 Beads Method. Do you think it's crazy to start beading as newlyweds?

Thanks!
Abigail

Hi Abigail,

Well, of course, you're asking the mother of all Beaders, but... No way, I don't think it's a crazy idea to get Beading right out of the gate. (For the unfamiiar, the Forty Beads Method is a sexy little token system that offers a fun, creative approach to embracing intimacy.) And by the way, since you've been together three years already, you're not exactly in a brand spanking new relationship. I also think that "newlyweds" get labeled as the "way hot" couples, the ones who can't keep their hands off each other and well, that's not always the case. I've talked to lots of newly married women who feel bad that they're not rocking the casbah, swinging from the celing fan with their husbands every night. The Beads are great for fanning the flames of desire and especially helpful in developing a healthy sex habit as a newly married couple. Because a lot of us, by default and over time, develop a lazy sex life. If you keep the Beads in play, you can check that concern off your "How We Doin"?" as a newly married couple list. Happy Beading!
