The folks at The Alley know how to put on a good party. Their 4th-anniversary shindig was no exception, complete with aerialist dancers and a silent disco dance floor upstairs.

Hurry up and grab your tickets for the collaboration of the spring: Veuve Clicquot and Charleston Wine + Food's Spring Street Party in the Old Village of Mount Pleasant—Friday, May 20, at 5 p.m.

The 7th annual Gibbes on the Street party, this year Forbidden City-themed and stylized as "The Year of The Gibbes," was a party to be remembered. Bites from great local restaurants such as Cypress, Husk, and The Obstinate Daughter were washed down with featured East-themed cocktails as guests wandered a fantastically decorated Meeting Street block hung with lanterns and even giant golden lions.

The Spoleto SCENE's Shakedown, a party for 20- and 30-somethings to kick off the Spoleto Festival season, was a huge success.

As part of the Lowcountry Local’s “Eat Local Challenge” I am drinking my way through Charleston’s local inebriating options.

For its third anniversary, The Alley did what it does best: invite the town out to a big, sexy party dressed out in the finest fashions history and budgets could afford. All we had to do in return was allow a portion of our ticket to be donated to the Be a Mentor Program, and enjoy the show.

As I wandered further and further back in the darkness, I had the distinct feeling of Alice in Wonderland when, after growing too big, she suddenly finds herself getting smaller and smaller, everything around her seeming enormously out of proportion...

Because wearing white and drinking too much shouldn't just be reserved for College of Charleston's spring graduation.
