Located off the beaten path in the heart of Ann Street, the newly-created Charleston Depot is the solution to a common Charleston question: where can adults begin their weekend with a vibrant scene, popular food, and superb drinks?

Charleston’s entertainment scene is known for catering to the young and to travelers. By using the former train station, Charleston Depot provides an upscale, Funky Friday, Pop-Up event that true locals and natives can enjoy. With free admission, party goers can enjoy a specialized drink menu of five shaken cocktails and five stirred cocktails designed and crafted by master mixologist Davey Jones. Each week, favorite Charleston bartenders will join the rotation, providing their own spin on classic recipes such as martinis and specially curated blends. The Charleston Depot menu includes small bites such as deviled eggs carbonara, Caribbean crab cakes with smoked pineapple tartar sauce, fire-roasted oysters, burger sliders, and a charcuterie and cheese board.

Motown band, The Secrets, keep the evening flowing each week with their special ability to take the crowd on an impressive and excellent musical journey through the legends of funk and soul. Having been around Charleston for 20 years, The Secrets enjoy performing for guests, whom they consider personal friends.

“Tonight’s event was exactly what I craved from the Charleston scene,” Anna, a tourist from Greenville, explained. “I come to Charleston every two weeks, and this is the intimate and fun event you want to experience with close friends after a long day”.

Catch the funk fever every Friday at 23 Ann Street. For more information, head to facebook.com/CharlestonDepot.
