Come down to the Mixson Market in North Charleston this Saturday, the 28th, from 10am to 3pm for the 2nd annual Tomayto Tomahto Festival and Tomato Pie Contest.

Entry is free, and open to the public. To enter bring whole, cooked tomato pie with print out of recipe to entry table. Prizes sponsored by The Flats at Mixson awarded to winners of each category and a portion of the proceeds and all donations will benefit GrowFood Carolina.

Contest timeline:

12:30 pm – deadline to register for contest with pie and recipe

1:00 pm – contest judging begins

2:00 pm – contest winners announced

Other Activities:

Complimentary tomato inspired tastings by Mixson Market and Básico Bloody mary bar sponsored by Fat and Juicy. Fresh produce and honey available from Mixson Farmers Market, live music by Jeff Dent, salt tastings by Bulls Bay Saltworks, and kids' craft activities will also be available.
