Charleston Grit Sponsors "Get Hitched! Charleston"

Alex Keith

It's official! We've said "I do" to sponsoring the first annual "Get Hitched! Charleston" event presented by IES (Innovative Event Services.)

With the recent announcement of national legalized gay marriage, Get Hitched! Charleston will be the first annual LGBT wedding showcase in South Carolina. The event will showcase companies and services that support and welcome the legalization of same sex marriage, as well as connect them with LGBT couples. Charleston wedding professionals will present ideas and opportunities to the LGBT community.

As part of Charleston Pride Festival 2015, the showcase will take place on Saturday, August 1, 2015 from 3-7 p.m. at Memminger Auditorium. Starting at 3 p.m., attendees can enjoy deejays and live performances, as well as sample food and drinks from local caterers, food trucks, and bar services. The evening concludes with a fabulous runway show featuring both traditional and edgy styles for the entire wedding party.

Following Get Hitched! Charleston, Memminger will host the Charleston Pride After Party from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.
