NonprofitWarrior Surf Foundation (WSF)will host its first-ever community day on Saturday, October 12, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 3rd Street West on Folly Beach. This donation-based event is open to everyone and all levels. All proceeds will go towards WSF’s Surf Therapy Program, which provides 12 weeks of free surf therapy, yoga, wellness classes and community to Veterans struggling with PTSD and other mental health challenges.
The community day will kick off with yoga, followed by surfing and meditation! It’s the perfect opportunity to see what a “Day One” is like for participants of the 12-week program, meet the Warrior Surf team and learn what WSF is all about. Participants should bring a towel, change of clothes, sunscreen, water and a snack. Foam surfboards are available on a first-come, first-served basis, or you can bring your own.
