Super Sexy or Just Plain Sticky?

Who doesn’t love having that elusive, sexy, done-yet-undone look for your locks? I know I do! I was recently handed a bottle of Bumble & bumble Texture Hair Crème and was very excited to take it for a test drive.

After getting home from the gym I hopped in the shower to cleanse my gritty locks, and post-shower I wrapped them up in a towel and got dressed. After a little towel-drying session I decided to give the product a whirl. The instructions read:

Work through damp hair (a must). Start with a small amount and build. Let it sit a minute, then loosen and ruffle, freehand.  Apply at roots for extra lift. 

So, being a long-haired gal, I squirted a generous amount of product into my hands, rubbed it up, and started to work through my hair…. Now, what happened next was not exactly what I had hoped for. Instead of rising high and tousling out, my hair resembled a glob of bubble-gum covered in long, brown strands of sticky gunk. If you have ever met me and have had the opportunity to run your hands through my wavy strands, you know just how much hair I have and you probably have a good visual of this sticky situation. Obviously, I was mortified by my results but that is not to say that this is a ‘bad’ product.

In review, I recommend this hair crème for those of you readers who might have shorter, less wild hair than I. My advice is to start with a very small amount and test it out on a few strands before applying it all over. With just enough weaving and working, you short-haired females may attain the sex-kitten look I was going for. Plus: this product would also be great for men looking for casually tousseled, post-bedroom-romp hair. 

Lesson Learned: Know your hair type before applying products, you might find yourself in a sticky situation. When in doubt, ask your stylist.
