I attended a L.I.M.E event this past week, which was such a treat that I wanted to try and bring this table to you. If you are not familiar with L.I.M.E. (Local. Impromptu. Moveable. Evening), it is a pop-up dinning event that takes place in a non-traditional space that benefits a charitable cause. The fabulous host Renata Dos Santos is from Trinidad and brings her family custom of large gatherings in a family-style dinning setting to you. This past event was amazing. It was held at The School of the Building Arts campus aka “The Old Jail” in downtown Charleston.

L.I.M.E sources its ingredients from local growers such as Compost in my Shoe and Sweetbay. Chef Ulfet presented a wonderfully broad menu from swordfish to goat, and, of course, vegetarian options, as well. The theme of the evening was "Hollywood Glamour" and the charitable cause was ALS. The menu was fantastic as always but this particular event had a different twist! The evening was being filmed by the Travel+Escape channel’s show “Illegal Eater.” The host of the show is the lead singer of the Barenaked Ladies, Steven Page. Enjoy this song and spend more time with friends and family at your table.

Plus! More photos up in the gallery, courtesy of Marie Rodriguez Photography (see the long shot of the table? That's me on the left!). Thanks for sharing some photos with us, Marie!
