Barrier Island EcoTours’ Women's Coastal Skills Workshop

Participants will cook their harvest over an open fire, enjoy a guided nature walk on Capers Island that highlights wildlife and edible plants, and wrap up the day with a sunset cruise back to the IOP marina.

Barrer Island EcoTours will host its first-ever women’s coastal skills workshop with Golden Girls Outdoors. Designed for women looking to learn or refresh essential coastal skills, the hands-on experience includes oyster harvesting, fishing instruction, casting, shrimping and crabbing, an introduction to boat driving and navigation, and beach anchoring.
