Here are just two favorite things in my kitchen that I refer to on a weekly basis:
1. Food Lover 's Companion (Barron's Education Series): This answers any questions about anything! Where food comes from, how it grows, what things mean.... It is a bible for foodies. I LOVE it. If you don't have one, get it. Also, it makes a great hostess gift!
2. The Silver Spoon (Phaidon): "Where eating is a serious matter." The recipes in this book are fantastic. Who doesn't love all food Italian?!
