Umphrey's McGee Returns for Chucktown Ball Round 2

Hooper Schultz

Popular jam band and live show Umphrey’s McGee returns to the Lowcountry this September 23rd and 24th for the second round of the Chucktown Ball, at Riverfront Park in North Charleston.

Umphrey’s McGee has been a popular band on the music festival and college circuit since they formed at Notre Dame in 1997. They recently released their ninth studio album, The London Session.

Riverfront Park has become one of the most popular outdoor venues in town due to it's great oak-framed vistas of the Cooper River and the ability for boats to pull right up and enjoy the music. If you've never been, this would be a great time to check it this up-and-coming area.

Each of the evenings features two Umph sets, promising a full weekend of music.

The two day event will also feature popular acts such as Dead 27s & Moon Taxi on Friday, and The Floozies Dangermuffin and The Hip Abduction on Saturday.

The full affair will feature local food, drinks, and vendors at the venue.

Doors open at 4:30pm on Friday and 3:00pm on Saturday

Tickets are $77 and are available here.

This year, for something completely new to add to this great event, Umphrey’s McGee will host the inaugural Chucktown Ball Charity Golf Tournament on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Wild Dunes Harbor Golf Course.
