Along with our seasonal depression and puffy jackets, the time has come to put away muted winter color palettes.

For those of us who aren’t quite ready to paint or paper our walls with spring brights, vibrant textiles are a wonderful alternative to add vibrant color to your living space. Here, I’ve given just a few of the possibilities for turning up the color in time for some sunny spring weather:

A statement couch is a quick, bold way to set the foundation for a colorful space. From there, the rest of your vivid accents will fall into place. If you’re not quite ready to take the plunge into owning such a colorful settee, get your color fix from layering pillows and throws with varying sizes, textures, and a wide range of hues.

Pricey wall art or a colorful new headboard not in your seasonal budget? Bright contemporary quilts, weavings, and accent pillows are both accessible and much less permanent ways to add pops of color to your bedroom.

Inspire major rug envy without the trip to the Turkish bazaar. The rich palettes found in the over-dyed yarns of Turkish kilims add color with minimal effort and maximum effect. Light weight and versatile, kilims not only look amazing as your living room rug, but also on your walls as tapestries and even as accent throws. These beauties are easily found online and won’t break the bank.
