Rutledge Cab Company Announces New Executive Chef Matthew Ward

Former convenience store and gas station, Rutledge Cab Company is Charleston’s place to “eat, drink, and be comfortable”, and we love the sound of that! Rutledge Cab Co features an all day, all night menu that local customers, food critics, and visitors can enjoy. Many of the defining dishes served at the establishment are carefully cooked over an indoor charcoal grill that happens to be the only indoor Charcoal grill in Charleston. We’re sure that newly appointed Executive Chef, Matthew Ward, is excited to begin crafting new, exciting dishes using this unique grill!

 

Rutledge Cab Company is pleased to welcome Matthew Ward as their new Executive Chef. Ward is a graduate of the College of Charleston, and got straight to work making his institution proud! Ward has served as the Chef de Cuisine at the critically acclaimed Culinary Vegetable Institute at The Chef’s Garden in Milan, Ohio, sous-chef at Fish (under master chef Nico Romo), and worked with James beard nominated chef, Bradford Heap. While not in the kitchen, Ward can be found spending time with his wife, Heather, and their 2 children, Gus and Max.

 

Rutledge Cab Company is located at 1300 Rutledge Ave, Charleston, SC 29403. Rutledge Cab Co. opens their doors at 11:30 a.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
