{ UPDATED } Looks like Bon Appetit has released their Top 10 list. Take a look:

In their September issue, Bon Appetit announced their 50 nominees for Best New Restaurant in America, with two Charleston eateries on their list. (Grit disclaimer: We would have had this up last week when the list came out, but this writer was up in Buffalo eating wings and drinking beer, as far as you can get from foodie "breaking news..." but happy as a clam. Sorry about that.)
Anyway, you may remember that little-known restaurant on Queen Street snagging the honor two years ago... you know, that place that never got written about, with the chef that couldn't get any press to save his life? What's the name, what's the name...
Oh right. Husk. Here's the write-up.
This year, another two local haunts were amidst the chic newbies in New Orleans, New York, L.A., and Austin (okay, the latter is clearly your next foodie vacay—it's all over that list. Anybody want to take a completely unsubsidized long weekend to Austin, eat tons, and do a blog for Grit? Bring it.) But let's bring it back home: one of the Holy City nominees wasn't surprising, but the other? Grit says Hallelujah for this national mag tossing out a name not repeated in the press every other day, like an epicurean wind-up doll. Congrats to Mike Lata, Josh Walker and Duolan Li—free oysters and dumplings all around! (Well, free might be an exaggeration. But at least we don't have to travel to get to them?)
What should we order next time we find ourselves at The Ordinary or Xiao Bao? What do we recommend to all the out-o'-towners now poised to put these eateries in even higher demand? Do tell.
