Liz is originally from the waterfront town of Alexandria, VA and has called Charleston home for over 20 years. A food, music and nature lover, Liz tries to keep up with the abundance of musical events, fund-raisers, restaurant, food and garden festivals the area offers. Downtown rooftops at sunset, beach walking, and casual rides out in the country are high on the list. With a busy social schedule, Liz looks forward to meeting new people, having new experiences and writing about them when possible. Seeking the unknown off-beat locations is best!
Favorite travel spots include OBX, Asheville, Blowing Rock, Nashville, St. Augustine, Lake Keowee and Jackson Hole. An avid bird watcher and animal lover, Liz is a member of Wild Bird Unlimited and Center for Birds of Prey and has two 2 very active Jack Russel terriers. Travel is a hobby.
Liz has built a solid career in Public Relations and marketing, currently working with Silicon Valley boutique agencies and clients, many of which have offices in NY, TX, London, Israel and elsewhere. Securing coverage in countless publications, highlights include TIME, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Boston Chronicle, San Francisco Business Times and dozens more.
Writing for a hometown audience with CharlestonGrit is the most fun and personally rewarding!
