Have you always wanted to go on a mission or service trip, but weren’t sure how you could be useful?

This Thursday, November 7, is the perfect opportunity to learn about just how useful you can be. The Palmetto Medical Initiative is throwing their 4th annual Fall Gala, a night to eat, drink, and learn about what they’re doing across the globe.

PMI has taken more than 1,000 volunteers from the Lowcountry and across the country to Uganda, East Africa, and Nicaragua, Central America, to serve the ultimate underserved populations of these regions. They provide medical care for free, while establishing a long term health care system in that country. They don’t just provide a short term solution, they’re after the bigger issues.

You may be thinking “I’m just a student”, or “I’m a teacher/bartender/CPA/barista/waiter/______insert your profession here”. But PMI needs you! They need medical and non-medical on each and every trip to maximize their short time in these countries.

If you want to learn more about PMI, come to the event at the Gibbes Museum, this Thursday night, November 7th. It starts at 6:30, and will be catered by Cru Café. If you need a drink or two, don’t worry—it’s also open bar. To top off the night, the magnificent glory of Diggity Doughnuts will be rolling up at the program ends.

Please join us for a wonderful evening as we celebrate Palmetto Medical Initiative (PMI) and the trailblazing work they are doing across the globe. We will rejoice alongside the lives that are being changed and look forward to what the future holds as PMI blazes toward new frontiers.

Offering a glimpse into the future of PMI, their new project location for 2014 will be announced during the evening.

There are two different ways for you to attend this event. You may buy as many single tickets as friends you care to bring, or you may choose to host a table. As a host, you will buy the entire table and invite friends to fill all 8 seats as you wish. If you prefer to pay by check, you may mail your check to Palmetto Medical Initiative, PO Box 542, Charleston, SC 29402 and put "gala ticket" on the memo line.
