An Inspiring Reflection on Charleston

"I had chosen to use my work as a reflection of my values"  —Sidney Poitier

I have worked  with local artists in Charlston for more than 10 years and it is great when you see one explode onto a national level. When I first met Justin Walling, owner and founder of Charleston Architectural Glass, he was working for another artist creating amazing antiqued mirrors. They would do so many different installations of glass, and all added so much drama! One of my favorite installations that he did for me was an entire wall of antiqued mirrored panels in a dining room. Wow, what an impact it made!

So you can imagine how excited I was to hear that he was now making the antiqued mirrored tiles for a huge tile distributor like Ann Sacks. My mom pulled out a picture of antiqued mirrored tiles to show me for my new house. We were flipping out about them. Then the next thing I hear, it is Justin! Aren't these tiles just the coolest? And they're made right here, at home. Love!

I have also had him make a mirror for two clients of mine with this Alligator crackled frame that is just the coolest. You see he also has a line of really interesting mirrors with mirror frame. He can pretty much make any size or shape you can imagine. I just love this frame!

Now if you really need to get crazy, he can to that too. He is also able to do the most intricate ironwork for a very detail design. So versatile and über talented.

I even love the simplicity of this mirror.  I think everyone could own this one. It is classic but elegant and romantic all at the same time. I just can't decide which one I want for me. Either this one.....

Or this one. You help me decide! Oh, and check out his website for the perfect style for you—there are many more options to choose from!

But for now, I am going to dream about Justin's antique mirrored subway tiles.  How about in the butler's pantry, or a whole wall in the powder room... Love some drama!
