The Blog of the Week is... Beach Lesson #1: The Power of Jean Shorts, Sand Grenades, & Now by Cullen Murray Kemp. Reading that blog, we couldn't figure out for the life of us why we weren't at the beach right now.
"As the scene settled down a bit, I started to notice all the other beach dwellers. Some read books, some rubbed on sun-soaking oils, some played bocce ball, but all were genuinely happy. That’s what the beach does, makes us forget our problems and focus on the goodness of the present."
Word. Although that quote makes the blog sound much less boob-a-licious than it was. So make sure you read it to get the goods.
And in the spirit of that, here's some pictures of beach-going souls much like the family Cullen spoke of, who clearly stopped caring about social norms (et cetera) the moment they spotted the water, and instead, decided to be awesome. Dude. Thank God for our beaches.
