We had a mountain of outstanding blogs this week. We worked on our A-game with McLean's get-healthy post. Dr. Abess tried to save us from divorce court. Prioleau tried to keep our new freshmen out of most any court. Renae danced her ass off, Holly broke bread, Natalie found her shirt, Tim stood around by himself at the Music Farm... and so much more. It's been a blast this week, and we're beat. Perhaps that's one reason the Grit team is in the mood to let our hair down. Have some fun. Laugh hard. Play harder. Rock a tutu.
Thanks, Chassity, for reminding us to do just that.
I'm a good mom. I do all the "good mom" type of things: love them, feed them, keep them safe... And I'm also not afraid to act down right silly with my kids. That's what having fun and making memories is all about, right?
Well, I'm taking this festive cue from my dear friend Reagan Woods (she's a fantastic mom, I take a lot of cues from her). For her daughter Caroline's fifth birthday last week, Reagan donned a tutu and went, where else, but King Street to celebrate. Imagine the memories her daughter will have of this day and her fun mom.
Any excuse to leave the house in a tutu is a good one in my book :)
