With Halloween just around the corner, we've pulled together some of our favorite ideas from a rehearsal dinner we planned on Halloween night a few years ago to inspire a fabulously fightening fête of your own! We had so much fun adding festive, spooky touches to the evening, including “Black Widow” punch and monogrammed pumpkins, so we decided to share some tricks (and treats!) to help you create a hauntingly special party sure to delight guests of all ages. Don't you just love how we used a fog machine and fake tombstones in the image above? Both are available at Party City! Photos by Liz Banfield

For starters, we used glassware and apothecary jars to store classic Halloween candy, such as candy corn and fun-size chocolate bars. You can find similar options at Kmart or World Market for $2030.

Instead of opting for standard orange pumpkins, we painted them in hues of silver, gold, and white. In this case, we even carved the couple's initials into the pumpkin in lieu of more traditional designs.

You can see the silver pumpkins better here...we even had our bartender dressed for the occasion, with face paint and all! Halloween-themed cocktails, such as the "Black Widow," were served to stay within the theme. Find the recipe for the delicious concoction here.

Adding skulls to our candy table made the scene feel extra spooky, but we kept it looking sophisticated by housing them in beauitful glass cloches. You can find a similar skull at Pottery Barn on sale for $15 and glass cloches at World Market. Cheers to a Happy Halloween...wishing you the spookiest of parties!
