Charleston is lucky that Hurricane Florence spared our beautiful city, but our friends to the North were not as lucky. If you are wondering how you can help, we’ve compiled a list of local, reputable organizations working to help out those affected by Hurricane Florence.

We will be updating this list as we learn more

Fighting Flo in the Lowcountry – a local grassroots effort in the Lowcountry to help those most affected by hurricane Florence.

Operation BBQ Relief – a disaster relief organization on a mission to provide friendship, compassion, and hot barbecue meals to displaced residents and emergency personnel during times of national and other disasters.

Queen Street Hospitality Restaurant Group – Through September 21, 82 Queen, Lowcountry Bistro, and Swig and Swine’s West Ashley and Mount Pleasant locations will donate $1 from every entre sold to Operation BBQ Relief.

Lowcountry Mayors’ Disaster Relief Fund – supported by the mayors of Charleston, North Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Goose Creek, Isle of Palms, Folly Beach and others.

First (Scots) Presbyterian Church – This downtown Charleston location is collecting batteries, new blankets, new towels, toiletries and hygiene items, diapers, formula, water, first aid items, cleaning supplies, wipes, canned goods, pet food, and other necessities. Contact Rev. Dr. Holton Siegling at 865-456-2235.

Famulari's donates to Americares - On September 26, Famulari's will donate a portion of their sales to Americares, a nonprofit focused on medicine and health that provides emergency medical supplies and other basic resources to first responders and others.
