In the spirit of liberté, égalité, fraternité, 39 Rue de Jean is thrilled to announce its Bastille Day celebration, “Vive la Rue,” on Monday, July 14th from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Guests are invited to join us for a vibrant evening honoring French culture, cuisine, and community — Rue-style.

 

This spirited event will feature free admission, live music from local duo, Purple Magnolia, on Hutson Alley, and a festive lineup of French-inspired small plates, including: Classic Bouillabaisse, Cheese Plates featuring imported French selections, Duck Rillette Croquettes, plus more bistro favorites.

 

Guests can also enjoy a complimentary mussel station, available while supplies last. Adding to the joie de vivre, Charleston’s Smallest Bar will be reimagined for the evening as Petite Brass, offering curated French wines, cocktails, and beer in an intimate and spirited setting. Leading up to Bastille Day, guests can enjoy French-inspired food and drink specials all weekend long, available Friday through Sunday.

 

Whether you're a Francophile or just a fan of great food and live music, “Vive la Rue” promises an unforgettable Monday evening in the heart of downtown Charleston.
