In the Market: My Next Handbag

For those of you that know me well, you know I have a strong love for designer purses. I don't spend alot of money on shoes or accessories. Instead, I like to save up and buy a nice purse every few years. I know they will be pieces I will love forever and want to carry everyday. As soon as I found out I was pregnant with my son, I immediately thought hmmmm... I need the coolest diaper bag I can find. I stumbled upon a large Gucci tote that is made of material that is easy to wipe down and clean and thought done! It's been a love affair ever since! I have loyally carried this purse for two years.

But now I am starting to get the itch for a new handbag. I am not pregnant but we do hope to have another child one day, so I want a chic bag that I can also stuff all my baby/kid stuff in. The frontrunner is the elusive Goyard Bag. This would be my top choice minus the price. My hubby would not be too thrilled when he saw the bill for this beauty (upwards of $700). But if I ever win the lottery, this bag is surely mine. I love that you can monogram it and it comes in such fun colors. Plus, like my Gucci Bag, it is made of material that is super easy to clean if something spills on it.  A major criteria for me since I am using the bag as both my purse and diaper bag.

The brown and blue are my favorite colors and I would most certainly monogram mine. (Photo credit: Erin Simon, Let the Tide Pull Your Dreams Ashore)

Here's a look at some close runners up (but let's be real: none of these compare to the Goyard but the price tags are more affordable):
