The art world can seem very unapproachable. Many people put off starting an art collection because it seems inaccessible, overwhelming and costly.

With a mission to identify and showcase up and coming artists as well as make purchasing art easy and enjoyable, I wanted to create a method to sell works directly to collectors and to organize select exhibitions and events along the East Coast.

What became of this? I'm proud to announce Landing Contemporary Art, a nomadic gallery featuring the works of contemporary emerging artists from across the country. I couldn't be more thrilled about the role it will play not only in the lives of the artists but in the eyes of intimidated art lovers everywhere.

The art world can seem very unapproachable. Many people put off starting an art collection because it seems inaccessible, overwhelming and costly. Landing Contemporary Art provides a platform that makes collecting easy. Whether online or in person at a unique pop-up event, my goal is for the art lover to have an enjoyable experience and come away with a work of art they will cherish.

The art world is still the wild, wild West in a lot of ways. There’s a large degree of it that is unregulated, prices can be volatile, and demand is king.

I feel uniquely qualified to fill this void as an independent art curator with an MA in Contemporary Art from Sotheby’s Institute, London, BA from Duke University, and experience as Gallery Director at Ella W. Richardson Fine Art in Charleston, SC, and numerous art museums and publications under my belt.

The art world is still the wild, wild West in a lot of ways. There’s a large degree of it that is unregulated, prices can be volatile, and demand is king. There are so many options out there of galleries, online sites, fairs, etcetera, that make it hard to know where to look.

Landing Contemporary Art is committed to price transparency and we have selected emerging artists whose careers are beginning to blossom. The opening roster includes Jenifer Kent, Rebekah Andrade, Cathleen Ficht, Zane Osler, Maggie Roof, Thomas Wilder, Alida Wilkinson and Joan Aglaia. Please join me in welcoming the atists along with art lovers near and far to this exciting new venture for showcasing, buying and collecting art.
