Hold on to your fedoras, ladies and gents. A local H&M store is set to open here (finally!). The Swedish retailer has announced plans to come to Charleston, and you can find all the details below. Here's your Grit Cliff's Notes on their arrival:

H&M to Open First Location in Charleston in Fall 2013

H&M, Hennes & Mauritz, the popular global retailer known for offering fashion-forward apparel and quality basics, is thrilled to announce the signing of its first store in South Carolina in the great city of Charleston! Set to open in the fall of 2013, H&M will debut at the historic King Street Fashion District, Charleston’s premier outdoor shopping destination.

H&M is excited to offer shoppers in South Carolina access to the retailer’s quality collections in a brand new 18,300 square foot store. H&M at281 King Street will include collections for ladies, men, young ladies and young men, with separate “store within store” sections for lingerie, maternity, sports apparel and accessories. This location will also carry H&M’s fantastic children’s collection, which features quality clothing for kids ages newborn to 14, as well as H&M’s plus-size line, H&M+.

Since H&M opened its first store on New York’s Fifth Avenue thirteen years ago, the U.S. has been one of the retailer’s most important markets.
