Leave It to the Italians

Hailing from 18th-century Italy, the elegant patterns of lace have always withstood the test of time. Since my interiors are perpetually inspired by what's currently hitting the runway, I’ve been taking a cue from this Oscar de la Renta dress and thinking all-things lace!  For an updated twist, try mixing this delicate textile with edgier, more masculine materials, like the luxe, clean lines of this vintage black leather sofa.  I’d love to see this Ralph Lauren lace Corrine pattern used in a simple drapery application; try antique brass drapery rods to complement the fabric’s old-world charm.  This Sputnik chandelier provides a refreshing Mid-century punch, and really ties all the contrasting materials together.
