Tourist in my town: Shulerville and McClellanville

Take me to church.... these subjects were a bit "unforgiving" to capture, and I was also frustrated by my late start in finding them. Pictured are the Halfway Creek Church in rural Shulerville, and the boarded up Old Bethel AME Church in McClellanville that was used in theNetflixoriginal series"Outer Banks." The vandalism sustained by the latter as a result of the show's popularity is included in these images.
McClellanville is a quaint fishing village less than an hour's drive north of Charleston on Highway 17. It is part of theCape Romain National Wildlife Refugenear theFrancis Marion National Forest. Rural Shulerville is roughly 15 miles inland from McClellanville in Berkeley County within the national forest.

Both are easy drives and day trips from downtown.
