Hey Y'ALL!! It's YA Lit Time!

The hottest new genre in literature invades Charleston tomorrow. Amp up your adolescence and come check out the stellar line up, including 25 NY Times best-selling authors

For a bookish Yalie, Jonathan Sanchez sure can sniff out a hot trend. And create a crazily invigorating centrifuge of celebrity authors, smart writing, and pie.

Last year was Y'ALL Fest's wildly successful first run, and this year's Fest—a packed one-day feast of all things best-selling in the Young Adult literature scene—proves ready to be another big success. Forty-four of the hottest names in one of the fastest growing and hottest genres will be here, leading panels, selling books, meeting their fans and making new ones, and, of course, sampling Southern pie (I don't know, Jonathan's got this pie thing, evidently).

The action actually begins this afternoon at 4 p.m. at the Calhoun Street Library, but the main attraction is Saturday's all-day affair at the Charleston Music Hall and the American Theatre. Some of the big names include Kwame Alexander, Cassandra Clare (City of Bones), Pseudonymous Bosch (The Name of This Book is Secret), Holly Black (Spiderwick Chronicles) and Charleston native Katie Crouch (The Magnolia Series).

If you love reading, or even just kinda like reading, or okay, so you don't to read much but think it's a good idea for kids to read, say, maybe, for the future of our democracy, then go check it out. See how robust the world of stories, and books, and writing is for today's young adult readers. Thank heavens.
