I attended a fabulous Preview Party at West Elm yesterday morning at their newest location in good ol' Charleston!

I was greeted by Lindsey of Gray and Co., a local and wonderfully pleasant PR firm. A group of us creatives in Charleston were gathered and listened in as the Public Relations guy discussed the pretty little details about the West Elm story. We got to tour the shop and look at each beautifully curated section that made you feel like you were walking through someone’s loft apartment.

Screen-printed rugs hung from the walls. Lush shades of grey, navy, and mustard oozed from the shelves...and don’t even get me started on all the marble pieces! I could buy everything in there! Husbands be warned: this is a dangerous place for your wife’s credit card.

The store also features a small circle of designers who can be trusted to help you measure, design, or create the space you want in your home or office.

West Elm’s design studios are based in Brooklyn, but feature local and national talent at a variety of their shops. In the Charleston shop, they featured a whole section offering striking southern hues from warm orange to cream and pink. The Charleston section also featured the work of 9 local artisans and designers like Teil Duncan, 42 Pressed, SunWoven, Sideshow Press, Kristen Solecki, Dodeline Design, PerlaAnne Press, and more!

A few local artisan artworks included:

Teil Duncan Art

42 Pressed

Sideshow Press

Kristen Solecki

SunWoven

PerlaAnne Press

Dodeline Design created a limited number of these adorable canvas totes specifically for West Elm's Charleston location.

By now, I know your mouth is probably watering so why not stop by the King Street shop and take a scoop for yourself? It'll blow you away!
