Mews + Brews Cat Cafe is gearing up for the launch of our Kickstarter campaign Tuesday, May 3. The goal is to help us cover the cost of securing a location in Summerville and renovating the space to make it cat friendly. Behind the scenes, we’ve been working hard to get the word out and support so far has been incredible. We’re excited to work with the community to make it happen and this crowdfunding campaign gets us one step closer to opening our doors.

Since announcing plans in March, we partnered with Dorchester Paws to arrange for cat fostering in our “Cat Lounge” where guests can spend time with adoptable cats from the local shelter. We also collaborated with local artist, Charmed & Cozy, to design exclusive rewards for the campaign. We want to give people something special for pledging and Charmed & Cozy designed stickers, pins, and t-shirts that will be worth it. They are limited edition exclusively for our Kickstarter supporters so if you want one, be sure to donate when it goes live.

Visitors will be able to enjoy their purchases by the bar or take their food and drink into the cat lounge to spend time with adoptable cats from Dorchester Paws.

Kickstarter is an all-or-nothing platform, so our total goal must be met in order to get the funds. The campaign is set to launch at 8 a.m. on May 3 so mark your calendars and get ready to turn Summerville’s first cat cafe into reality!
