A beloved tradition returns to kick off the holiday season in Charleston. Join the Charleston Parks Conservancy for a family friendly holiday celebration at Colonial Lake. The annual Light the Lake will take place there from 5-7 P.M on Friday, Dec. 2.

Enjoy crafts and activities, including letters to veterans, jingle bell jewelry making, holiday photos by the carriage, ornament making, leaf rubbings and an activity table hosted by the South Carolina Aquarium.

Food vendors include Independent Grounds Coffee, Blackout Burger and more. Plus, countdown to the lighting of the holiday tree in the center of Colonial Lake. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, visitcharlestonparksconservancy.org/.
