It's a Chevron-Striped World!

There is nothing more bold and graphic than a chevron (also spelled cheveron) zig-zag stripe. I really don't think there has ever been a time that I have not liked the use of such a statement pattern. I've seen rugs, pillows, dresses, and even baby's bloomers made up in strong chevron stripes. It is just one of my favorite designs.....well, maybe ever. Zig-zag patterns have been used forever, with Missoni becoming famous for their zig-zag knit patterns. Now you can get Missoni pillows, fabric, furniture, poufs, all with amazing colors, almost always in that pattern. It is just such a fun addition to any space. Painted chevron striped floors can make an impact, chevron rugs and pillows can set off a room.... At least a little bit of this pattern works in almost every installation. And don't forget about it when buying clothes, one of my favorite pieces is a Diane Von Furstenberg cream and navy dress with a fabulous red belt. People can see me coming from a mile away in that dress!  I usually only wear it when I am feeling spicy and everyone needs a little spice.......in their Chevron Striped Life!
