Too good to be true? Two of my favorite places in Charleston are partnering together to start Spoleto’s 40th season off with a bang!

Beginning May 24th and running through Spoleto, local favorite store IBU will be taking over the beautiful Zero George hotel’s sitting room, embellishing it with IBU’s stunning collection of exotic and luxurious fabrics, pillows, and jewelry.

For those of you who have never been to Zero George, it is one of the most charming, lovely, high-end but with a casual vibe, hotel’s I’ve ever been to. And for those of you who have never been to IBU- it is by far my favorite boutique in Charleston- with vibrant, unique, incredible handmade garments from around the world. I can only imagine how lovely this pop-up takeover will be.

No event is complete without libations! Zero George has concocted the perfect cocktail for the event. The cocktail, named IBU, is comprised of tequila, St. Germain, Aperol, Habanero-infused simple syrup, club soda and garnished with a lime.

I had a chance to stop by and try the drink, served to me by one of their fabulous bartenders, Kincade, and I must say this drink has some punch! It is vibrant in color, and spicy in flavor. The flavors take you on an exotic journey, and I feel like it is the perfect match for the IBU takeover. A portion of the drink's proceeds benefit Aid to Artisan, a non-profit that creates opportunities for low-income artisans around the world to build profitable businesses inspired by handmade traditions.

This is an event not to be missed, see you there!
