For some time now there have been many rumors of an H&M coming to Charleston. Well, yesterday at high noon that finally came to fruition. Right smack dab in the middle of the King Street shopping district now sits a massive 17,000-square-foot space of some of the most stylish and inexpensive clothing known to man.

It was a fun event that they put on. I arrived roughly 90 minutes before the store was scheduled to open and the line to get in was wrapped around the block. There were promises of gift cards being given to the first 300 customers ranging from $10 to $100. Ayoka Lucasfashion queen of the Southpulled three lucky customers out from the line early to give them a free styling session. And there was a DJ spinning some hot tunes to help keep the customers energized after standing in line all morning.

All in all it was a fun atmosphere to be in. I mostly came to browse around and snap photos of whoever and whatever looked interesting. Enjoy!
