High Water Festival: Good Music, Good Food

Share

Over the weekend Charleston held its second annual High Water Festival at Riverfront Park. Artisans, tasty treats, and tunes galore, this affair was set for people of all ages. Some of the headliners included St Paul and The Broken Bones, Brandi Carlile, Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit, Susto, Shovels and Rope & Band of Horses.

Upon walking in, attendee’s claimed their spot with a blanket or chose to crowd the stage. The VIP area included access to the main stage as well as an amazing fringe installation that caught the eye of all attendee’s. Beverage tents were found throughout the grounds and were hassle free. Between shows, you could go grab a bite to eat in the vendor area, The Refuge, featuring local favorites such as Lewis Barbecue, Roti Rolls, and Semilla. Whether you were grabbing a bite or checking out the options, the Refuge was the place for socializing. All in all, the High Water Festival has really created a niche in the Charleston festival scene.
