About

Dr. McLean Sheperd is a board certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist who advocates whole body, creatively-inspired approaches to wellness. As an artist and physician, McLean pairs traditional practices with holistic and organic healing, and she believes in the restorative power of art. "The presence of art in homes and public places makes a community healthier and more beautiful," she says. "When married to good science and medicine, vibrant artistic expression is what makes both an individual and a culture truly well." Through her world travels, Dr. Sheperd has studied vibrational and intuitive medicine, botanicals, yogic philosophy, and Ayurvedic medicine. She has investigated both traditional and nontraditional methods of balance and wellness. Working with masters of these disciplines at home and abroad, she is passionate about continuing her research in the healing arts.
