UPDATED! And the winner is? D'Allesandro's Pizza, with more than 43 percent of the vote. Who's up for some Get Gnarly 'za?!

Good news, guys. October is National Pizza Month, so we have a legitimate reason to eat pizza all weekend. Starting now.

Really, though—what would we Americans do without it? Considering 93 percent of us eat at least one slice o’ pie each month, and that, collectively, we plow through 3 BILLION PIZZAS every year, it’s safe to say we’d have a tough time. Serious withdrawals, actually. And pizza's part of local legend now, too. Remember earlier this year when an Andolini’s pizza saved the day

Bravo, Pizza. Bra. Vo.

Lucky for us, Charleston's stuffed with local eateries that put out some delicious pie. So the question is: where do you go to get your pizza on? Below are a handful of local favorites—both old staples and a few newbies—to get your pizza juices flowing. (While it doesn’t include all the tasty offerings here in town, it’s a start.)

Comment below to cast your vote. We'll count 'em up November 1, once Pizza Month has come to a close. Commentors logged in through Facebook will have a chance to score a 'za from their favorite spot on us (pizza winner will be chosen at random).
