AIDS? Get a Clue and #GetTestedCHS

Hooray for Charleston! We’re always making those lists—most charming, top tourist attractions, most delicious food—oh, and top 20 for the number of AIDS cases in one year.


 

The Feds say one in seven people are living with HIV and don’t have a clue; it’s time to get a clue.

 

Next week (June 20-27) is National HIV Testing Week USA, and our friends at Lowcountry AIDS Services have stepped up their testing events so you have no excuse;  get tested if there is even the slightest chance you may have come in contact with a partner who was infected.
 

 

According to the Lowcountry folks, we Southerners make up only 37 percent of the country’s population, but we represent half of new HIV infections. Not the kind of overachievers we want to be.

 

Lowcountry offers its free HIV testing Monday through Thursday at its North Charleston office. Here are the extra testing events next week—and you don’t need an appointment:
